At Galway Actors Workshop we need to collect and store a certain amount of personal data in order to stay in contact with those interested in or attending our courses, those interested in receiving blog posts about theatrical topics and those who want to stay informed on our upcoming productions or casting news.
WHAT INFormatiON IS BEING COLLECTED?
Galway Actors Workshop collect prospective and existing clients’ names and email addresses and sometimes telephone numbers through their engagement with our Squarespace website, our Mailchimp email service, our Facebook Business page and or their approaching us directly via telephone and email.
Photographic images of students are collected by photographer for Galway Actors Workshop during class or rehearsals for our productions with subjects' full knowledge.
How is it collected and stored?
Names and email addresses are collected through GDPR-compliant sign-up forms via Squarespace or Mailchimp and stored by them.
Prospective clients approaching directly through Facebook Messenger email and telephone, will be asked to sign a GDPR-compliant form before being manually added to the mailing list.
Persons who prefer to communicate by telephone will have their numbers retained on our sign up list, which is kept in a folder on Evernote, for the length of that term, before being deleted.
Telephone numbers for existing students will be collected on the first day of class and kept as a hard copy by the tutor, and in a class list on Evernote by the administration of Galway Actors Workshop for the length of that term, before being deleted.
Class, Performance and Rehearsal Images are taken by a photographer appointed by Galway Actors Workshop and stored by Galway Actors Workshop on Dropbox and shared with written permission of each person involved. Storage and usage by the individual photographer is also determined at that time by same written permission.
why is it being collected?
Personal data is collected solely in order for us to administrate our courses, inform interested parties of upcoming courses and student productions, share blog posts on theatrical topics and disseminate casting information.
Images of students are used, with permission, to document their work, and to share with the general public via our newsletters, website, Facebook page and local paper, the activities of Galway Actors Workshop.
who will it be shared with?
All data is solely for the use of Galway Actors Workshop.
The only cases in which names and email addresses will be shared is with tutors, as they need contact lists in order to run the class.
