Dumping Dave (and Other Stories)

By Donnacha Bushe

Friday 19th & Saturday 20th December, 2014 at 8.30pm

Town Hall Studio

Dumping Dave and Other Stories is the first incarnation of a darkly comedic play devised by the participants in the Galway Actors Workshop, written by Donnacha Bushe, and directed by Sarah O’Toole.

The interlinked stories pivot around the frayed relationship between Dave, an underachieving young man, and Sabine, his high-achieving girlfriend, who are attempting to throw a party. The play features a colourful array of characters. Chris is an angry recovering alcoholic working the programme with his dreary sponsor Graham. Mark is a gay man confronted with discrimination in the past and in the present. Maggie is an old lady with a wild streak. Fred is a restaurateur with a dubious moral compass. Simon is a hapless singer-songwriter. And Annie is Dave and Sabine's assertive and unhygienic housemate.

Tickets are €10/8 and are available at www.tht.ie or 091 569777.
